Kguy: I accidentally deleted your comment about the calamatous year. I was attempting to edit my comment that so many people seem to feel entitled to ignore natural events like big storms and go anywhere at any time. The airlines certainly must shoulder some of the blame, but the general populace is most at fault because concepts of time and space have become muddled.
